Our Course Leads use a collaborative learning approach that values and builds upon the knowledge, personal experiences, language, and culture that you, as a writer, bring to the course.

This session is designed for anyone 18 or older.

Prerequisites: Just bring your work in progress or a blank page and come ready to write!

Description:

WCLC Write-ins provide a supportive environment to write on a regular, and also flexible, schedule. Join other writers in this motivational and creative community who want to write more consistently to achieve their writing goals.

Sessions follow an hourly schedule to support productivity. The majority of time is spent on quiet writing with periodic breaks for discussion, questions, and readings, moderated by our Course Lead.

Goal: To join a supportive writing community, write on a regular schedule and achieve your writing goals.

Framework:

During each session our doors will be open for three hours of writing. The schedule will consist of twenty (20) minute intervals of quiet writing followed by ten (10) minute breaks for questions, discussion, and time for writers to read their work, if they wish to share with the group.

Drop-in at any time, write at your own pace, and come and go as you please. Please be mindful of the schedule as you arrive. Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks.
